Some of us happen to be quite nice, we just get ignored by women whose noses are in books or by women who pay way too much attention to the jackasses.
How can you not like Gilbert Blythe?? He loved Anne because of her brains! What's hotter than that?
We also have to keep our noses in books because boys are usually out doing lame things, like playing soccer or fishing.
