42) Serena, by Ron Rash
43) Schooled, by Anisha Lakhani

There were several others I started in 2008 and either couldn't get through or just have had to put them aside to get library books read. Such as:
1) Lonely Werewolf Girl, by Martin Miller (still reading)
2) Wicked: Witch & Curse, by Nancy Holder (horrible, donated to library)
3) North of the Port, by Anthony Bukoski
4) Reading in the Dark, by Seamus Deane (excellent writing)

Books collecting dust that I WILL get to:
1) Finer Things, by Neil Gaiman
2) Angelika, by Arthur Phillips
3) The Monsters of Templeton, by Lauren Groff
4) The Historian, by Elizabeth Kostova
5) Soon I will be Invincible, by Austin Grossman
6) Vampire Zero, by David Wellington
7) More Book Lust, by Nancy Pearl

And the newest to my collection given as gifts that I will soon get to:
1) A Whisper of Blood, edited by Ellen Datlow
2) Un Lun Dun, by China Mieville
3) Pippi Longstocking, by Astrid Lindgren (though technically I read it like 10 times when I was a kid, I still want to read it again)
4) City of Bones, Book One, by Cassandra Clare
5) City of Ashes, Book Two, by Cassandra Clare

Oh! Oh! (said in the manner of the kid desperately wanting to be called on in class. "Me! Pick me!") When you reread Pippi you should get the version Lauren Child recently illustrated. Cuz it's awesome.

Heather Graham?! Not the actress, I hope???!!!

Your annual book list always makes me feel so illiterate. Sigh.

Nem, That's the one! I put it on my wish list early in the year, and the divine Ms. Llew sent it as a birthday present. :)

Rachie, I'd rather eat my own barf than read something the actress Heather Graham wrote. Not that the author Heather Graham's writing was much better.

What an awesome idea. I'm going to steal it and put up my own list.

Verily, I have not read a one of the books on your list. But I should. I should make it my "April Reading List." Kind of like when I tried to read a book by every Nobel Prize in Literature winner. Except better.

Amanda, ha! You crack me up. :)
Most of the books I read are crap, but I try to get some good ones in there, too. You can pretty much ignore anything I didn't put in bold. Although Lois Greiman was pretty funny, and I think she's a Wisconsin author, so you might enjoy her series.
