Any book? Hmmm....
How about "Running with the Demon" By Terry Brooks?
Wowser! So many books!
Boo to "Running with the Demon." Sorry, John. Hahaha.
Try "Autobiography of Red" by Ann Carson. It's a novel in verse. Very different.
*sulks in a corner*
Okay, "Running with the Demon" isn't bad. It's good for its genre, I suppose. Haha. No need to sulk.
Done and done.
as i lay dying.
do it.
Oh my goodness, you put me to shame. By the way I am writing my dissertation on (partly) The Edible Woman. I've read it so much I've killed it though.
I heartily recommend Zadie Smith's The Autograph Man or Donna Tartt's The Secret History, if you haven't read 'em already x
Read "The Time Traveler's Wife" by Audrey Niffenegger if you haven't already. Makes me cry every time.
To paraphrase KRS-One, "In taste I never claimed to be number one--oh wait, I lied. I'm actually numbers one, two, three, four, and five!" As such, I am recommending five books to you:
_Perfume: The Story Of A Murderer_ by Patrick Süskind
_The Tyrant_ by Michael Cisco
_The Course Of The Heart_ by M. John Harrison
_The Girl In A Swing_ by Richard Adams
_The Snowman's Children_ by Glen Hirshberg
And if any of the above prove too difficult to find, you may substitute any of the following:
_The Land Of Laughs_ by Jonathan Carroll
_The Fetch_ by Robert Holdstock
_Turtle Diary_ by Russell Hoban
_Kink_ by Kathe Koja
_Night At The Circus_ by Angela Carter
